CDV Laboratory signs agreement with Genneia to supply 80% of the energy demand of its three veterinary vaccine production plants with renewable energy.<\/h2>\n

Buenos Aires, October 21, 2024.<\/b> \u2013 Genneia, Argentina\u2019s leading renewable energy company, and CDV Laboratory, a company dedicated to the production of biologics for animal health, have announced a strategic agreement to supply 80% of clean energy to CDV’s three veterinary vaccine production plants located in the Pilar Industrial Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

With nearly 40 years of experience in the large-scale research and production of biologics for animal health, CDV operates two modern production plants designed according to national and international quality and biosafety standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new partnership was formalized through the private Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), establishing a seven-year green energy supply contract, with the possibility of renewal. The renewable energy will be provided by a portfolio of Genneia’s assets, including wind and solar farms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The combined energy consumption of the plants is 6,400 MWh per year, equivalent to the average consumption of 17,225 Argentine households. Approximately 5,120 MWh will come from renewable sources.<\/span><\/p>\n

CDV operates in multiple global markets, offering a wide range of products and services focused on prevention. Its portfolio includes viral and bacterial vaccines, Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccines, as well as reagents and diagnostic services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Genneia will also support the development of CDV\u2019s third production plant<\/b><\/p>\n

With an investment of USD 80 million, CDV is in the advanced construction stage of its third general vaccine production plant at the Pilar Industrial Park, set to become operational in the first half of 2025. This new facility is designed under the standards of World Class Manufacturing, with the goal of becoming a \u201cgreen industry,\u201d optimizing resource use and transforming the space into an efficient production hub with a focus on design, technology, and innovation across construction, equipment, and natural resource management.<\/span><\/p>\n

Juan Ro\u00f4 stated: \u201cWe believe we are taking a strong step toward sustainability by achieving 80% of all our operations powered by renewable energy from Genneia, Argentina\u2019s leading clean energy company, which reached 1 GW of installed capacity in 2024. This transition allows us to reduce environmental emissions, supported by internationally certified parks under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). This enables the delivery of CO\u2082 Emission Reduction Certificates, helping us offset our productive emissions and reduce our carbon footprint through a formal environmental offsetting process.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
